On April 17th at 1 am, some of the families of the sewol ferry tragedy were marching when, blocked by the police, they decided to take another route towards Kyungbok palace. In the process, Mrs. Kim Nam Hee was hurt by the police. The police had pushed some of the women, and Mrs. Kim Nam hee along with another mother of the victims fell down. She hit her side on a stone flower pot, and leaned on a glass wall along with the other mother, with another woman holding her. About 60 to 70 riot police ran towards them and pushed them towards the glass wall, and Mrs. Kim Nam Hee cried out in pain. The families shouted “we have called an ambulance, let us go, someone is hurt” but the police refused, and the commanding officer shouted “shut up and stay still”. 

Currently Mrs. Kim Nam Hee is hospitalized, four of her ribs were cracked, and her ribs punctured the skin around the lungs.
